Dean McCormick began his career in production photogrammetry in South Africa. In 2000, Dean joined ERDAS in the UK providing Technical Pre-Sales support for the EMEA region, before joining Homecheck UK, a company specializing in online property searches. It was here that he was tasked with sourcing and incorporating new geospatial data into the company’s extensive range of products.
In 2005 he re-joined ERDAS before taking over responsibility as Regional Manager for Middle East and Africa region. Having been acquired by Hexagon, Dean was tasked with overseeing Hexagon Geospatial’ s channel business in Africa, a position he currently holds.
Dean is qualified with an MSc Environmental Geochemistry from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and has 16 years’ experience in the geospatial industry.
